Introduction
The Announcement Last Play Request report shows the last time the announcement was played.
Uses
This report can be used:
- To view, over an extended time period, individual announcement activity.
- To identify potentially redundant announcements.
- In concert with the Announcement Port Usage report to redistribute announcement load.
- To validate Audio Group configuration is working as expected.
Example 1
The announcements circled below have not been played since the Virsae Service Management has been running. These announcements are most likely redundant and can potentially be removed.
Example 2
In this example, announcement 3250 is in an Audio Group that is spread across two locations. This is a common situation and has been done so that music is delivered locally, not streamed across the WAN. The Announcement Last Play Request report shows that the Audio Group is functioning correctly as the announcement is being actively used in both locations.
