Holiday tables are calendar of known upcoming holiday dates and times. In conjunction with service hours, holiday tables are used in the 'Activated Time' conditions used by the alarm rules to determine the appropriate workflow(s) to be triggered.
Examples of the activated time condition are:
- Is in service hours
- Is outside service hours
- Is in service hours and is during holiday time
- Is in service hours and is not during holiday time
- Is outside service hours and is during holiday time
- Is outside service hours and is not during holiday time
Holiday tables exist at both a customer and business partner level as each of these have their own set of alarm rules and workflows available.
Manage Holiday Tables
Holiday tables is accessible directly from the Service Desk menu.
On selecting holiday tables you are presented with a list of all configured holiday tables. A right click context menu enables you to
- view the holiday table configuration and from here edit the configuration
- view the service hours associated with this holiday table
- delete the holiday table
Create a holiday table
A Create button at the bottom of the holiday table window enables you to create a new table. Once created it can be edited as below.
Edit a holiday table
To edit a table, right click on a holiday table and select view. The table will be displayed in a new window and an Edit button displayed. Click the Edit button.
Details
The details page enables you to provide a relevant name for the holiday table and the time zone in which the dates and times will be applied.
A holiday table will not be available for use until it has been published. To publish the table check the Published check box.
Holidays
The Holidays tab contains a calendar view displayed as a week or monthly view.
To add a holiday, double click a time slot on the appropriate day. Enter a name for the holiday and a start and end date and time. Whether the holiday is entered for a 24 hour period or just for the business or other hours on a holiday depends on how you tend to use the activated time conditions above. A description may also be applied. The duration and holiday name are displayed on mousing over the entry in the calendar. Click Save to the calendar once all the entries have been made. Click Close to close the holiday table.
