Files and Folders is a documentation and data sharing tool for business partners and customers - no need to navigate outside of VSM to a third party document sharing system.
- It can be used to view auto-generated system content, such as schematics, backups or log files, as well as user-generated content.
- Business partners can specifically share content with selected customers.
- Customer can share files with their business partner eg: wireshark file
- customer uploaded files are automatically viewable by their business partner
Auto-generated content is accessible via subscription to the applicable module eg: Configuration Manager.
Content is differentiated by three icons:
Automatic system-generated content, for example back ups, schematics or log files
- User generated content, for example documentation or software images
- Shared content
Access Files and Folders under Service Desk → Files and Folders, or if you are a business partner administrator, under Administration → Files and Folders.
Conditions of use:
- Files uploaded to Files and Folders are scanned for malicious content however no malicious content shall be knowingly uploaded to Files and Folders (virus, malware etc.)
- File content shall be governed by and comply with any customer or partner Acceptable Usage Policies.

Access to Folders with automatic system generated content is determined by the Customers subscriptions:
- Configuration Manager = Teams Cloud Service
- Configuration Manager = As Built Schematics
- ACM Vector diagram
- Network Topography diagram
- Media Gateway diagram
- Network Region diagram
- Continuity Manager = Back Up
- Service Desk = CMS Call History
- Service Desk = Line URI for Microsoft Teams
- Availability Manager = SIP Traces
- Availability Manager = SysLog Files
- Availability Manager = Voice Quality Daily Analysis
To share a folder, right-click on a folder and click share. Then select options for sharing.
Note: When a Customer level user uploads a file, by default it can be seen by their Business Partner.
Similar to other mainstream cloud documentation systems, shared content is visible in a ‘Shared with me‘ folder.
