Introduction

Call rate is an important measurement for Avaya Communication Manager. The BHCC (Busy Hour Call Completions) ultimately drives the requirement on server processing power.

The report shows the busiest 36-second interval (1 one-hundredth of an hour) and the number of calls completed in that busiest interval.

The chart on the Call Rate report provides traffic data for all calls completed on the Avaya Communication Manager server during the selected time range:

Total Calls
Tandem Calls
Intercom Attempts
Incoming Attempts
Outgoing Attempts
Private Network (Pnet) Attempts

Uses

This report can:

  • Identify, over an extended time period, the true loading in BHCC.
  • Be used as an indicator for server hardware upgrade.

Example

In the example below, 2,700 calls were completed in the busiest hour. The busiest interval (36 second period) saw 32 calls completed.
