Introduction

The Announcement Port Usage Summary report consolidates the peak ports used on each announcement board over the selected period of time. All announcement sources are included: VAL, MG Announcement and Media Servers.

Uses

This report can be used to perform multiple assessments, such as:

  • Identify, over an extended time period, the peak announcement port usage on a board by board basis.
  • View potential issues with an audio group configuration.
  • Demonstrate the inherent capability to conference multiple callers onto a single announcement port.
  • Highlight potential oversubscription when announcement boards are used as music sources.
  • As an indicator of other potential problems.
