VSM uses the CMDB data of all customers with similar architecture to perform a global bench marking exercise. This anonymized data is used to present a recommendation of software revisions.
From this data you can see:
- Your current version for each item
- Recommended version based on other users current version
- Latest discovered for any other customer
Export the report as csv for the following additional information;
- Patch on current software version
- Recommended Patch
- Recommended by eg: Vendor name
- Recommended on Date
- Latest Version discovered on Date
- End of Sale date
- End of Support date
You can use this information to identify if you are likely to be an early adopter or not and use for risk assessment, especially when equipment is approaching End of Support.
