Introduction

Identifies license usage measured against license capacity for all licensed software Configuration Items, by percentage, for a nominated date. A License Usage Trend report is also available.

Useful for identifying immediate license capacity constraints. It is also highly effective for forward planning and forecasting, particularly where multi-faceted view of CIs is required (e.g. estimating spare capacity when bringing on new teams of contact center agents).

Equally important, over subscribing of licenses can be an unnecessary cost, so savings can be identified.

This report can be used in conjunction with Availability Management to identify pending license capacity issues. 

Uses

You can use this report for a number of analyses, such as:

• Tracks actual license usage over a given period.
• Can be applied all Licensed Capacity items
• Tracks maximum daily used verses maximum daily limit
• Trend over the time period for forecasting using the License Usage Trend report
